Before I sign off for today, let me tell you a little bit about my most recent Vitacost.com order and how I'm using these products. I get so excited when I see a Vitacost box delivered. I don't get paid by them to say that...although it would be lovely if I did. ;)
Check this out:
On the left there's Elderberry Syrup. I've heard quite a bit recently about the benefits of Elderberry Syrup...antiviral, antibacterial, antioxidant...all the good antis. Ha! So I ordered Black Elderberry Syrup for myself and an Echinacea and Elderberrry Syrup blend for my boys. Read more here.
I ordered Organic Nonfat Dry Milk for my Condensed Soup Recipe.
Three flours, two fabulous brands: Arrowhead Mills and Bob's Red Mill. What's not to love? Oat flour and Spelt flour (not organic, but...). I will use these in my Spelt Oat Flax Muffins. I also use the spelt in my homemade pancakes along with the Sprouted Wheat Flour and in Spelt Oat Bread. Hope to share those two recipes soon. They are both so good, my family just loved both of them. Score! As you may recall, I am trying to eliminate wheat from my diet as much as possible, but I have read about the benefits of sprouted grain, much easier to digest and recommended for blood type O in the blood type diet I am following. Want to know more about the benefits of sprouted grains, read more here.
I also got some Peppermint Essential Oil, I am using various essential oils for allllll kinds of things. The best use for this peppermint oil so far: I rub a little on my temple for headaches. It helps!
Although I like Bragg Organic Unpasteurized/Raw Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother's, I found that Vitacost's brand is less expensive and very comparable in quality. I chug 1 tablespoon 2 to 3 times a day in a cup of water. There is all kinds of information about the benefits of apple cider vinegar if you do a search onine. Here's one place where you can read more.
Lastly, a Kind Granola Bar. A nice freebie! It tasted great and the ingredients were definately much, much healthier than other store bought granola bars. I haven't looked into how much they cost. But if it's not too overpriced, I think it's a winner. :) Oh, and I just love what the packaging said:
"Snack Like There Is A Tomorrow!" SUCH WISDOM in those words!
Remember to return for 10 Days of Easy Recipes for your Health starting tomorrow.
Until then, take a healthy step today!
P.S. Have products you love? I'd love to hear about them! Share your wisdom. Ask a question. Leave a comment just because. I like hearing from you.

Thanks for all the good tips.
